We are a non-profit organization that aims to support artisans
by offering their carefully handmade products while spreading recognition of the culture preserved through their artistry.
We are from our namesake: Anshun, a small city in China that is certainly rich in beauty and culture regardless of its size. We hope that, with our personal experiences and stories, we can serve as a bridge between people from opposite sides of the world: let's bring Anshun and its artisans' worth into the spotlight, one step at a time. Anshun （安顺）
"Anshun" means peaceful and calm in Chinese. Known for its moderate climate, Anshun is seated between round mountains that remain green for most of the year. It looks just like a rainy and wet city, and nothing is more beautiful than the green trees and gray streets of Anshun beneath a clouded sky.
The Shop
Our online shop offers a variety of handmade items, from delicate silver jewelry inspired by the Miao culture to hand-drawn Batik from the Miao and Buyi ethnic groups.
If you came here after buying from our shop in off-line events, thank you for your purchases! The profits made will all go to a batik "factory" in Anshun (the air quotes because it is a very peaceful space with seven kind grandmas). Check this link for more:
